Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Software Automation Engineer to join one of largest automotive clients out of Dearborn, Michigan in a hybrid role 3 days a week onsite.. This person will join a team responsible for stability testing on new infotainment features on fully networked commercial vehicles. This team will be checking the quality and behavior of the software in different environmental parameters. The test cases on this team are already there and this person will be responsbile for developing test scripts and automation. They will also be working cross functionally with the testing and software development teams as well.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing automation scripts in Python

• 3 years of software test experience in embedded OS platforms: Linux, QNX, or Android

• 1 year of experience utilizing network trace/capture tools to investigate and resolve network issues

• 2 years using version control system (Git or GitHub)

• 2 years of experience with test design

• Bachelors degree - Automotive experience

• Previous infotainment experience

• CAN or communication protocols null
