Assists New Business Analysts in the workflow of case submission.

REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Monitors receipt of new and renewing cases.

  • Handles logging all cases in/out of internal systems; including, but not limited to BenefitPoint and SalesForce.

  • Handles scanning and indexing submissions into the corporate document imaging system.

  • Notifies broker of receipt of business.

  • Handles data entry of new business and renewals in the carrier system.

  • Confirms Agent/Agency appointments on new cases.

  • Sends out any necessary appointments to Agent/Agency and follows up through completion.

  • Follows up with carrier to obtain carrier approval and policy number; communication of approved policy to the broker.

  • Distribution of carrier renewal to broker; including updating all BenefitMall systems.

  • Reconciles and packages daily case submission to carrier.

  • Assists in generation of carrier quotes.

  • Handles COBRA .

  • Assigned misc. projects.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Physical requirements include sitting, frequently speaking and hearing, and occasionally standing, walking, bending, crawling, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 25lbs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 2 years related administrative experience.

  • Experience with MS Office products.

  • Knowledge of SalesForce.

  • Knowledge of the Internet.

  • Good understanding of group insurance and carrier procedures.

  • Knowledge of insurance sales submission requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing.

  • Read, comprehend, and interpret job-related documents.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Good organizational and follow up skills.

  • Type a minimum of 30 words per minute.

  • Develop and maintain good relationships at all levels within the company and with agents, brokers, and/or carrier representatives.

  • Work in and contribute to a positive team environment.

  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

The starting hourly wage for this position is $22.00 - $27.50.
