Cedar Fair Human Resources - Associate Housing Supervisor in DOSWELL, Virginia

Overview:

Supervises and trains all housing staff while also providing excellent service to associates residing in housing. Processes residents in/out based on their move in/out dates. Responsible for adhering to and enforcing all housing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Expected to drive company vehicle to pick up residents from various pick up locations

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Supervises and trains housing front desk staff and counsels staff as needed.

  • Keeps desk area neat and clean and free of debris as well as maintains inventory of housing issued items: Keys, linens, cleaning supplies, etc

  • Ensures residents are following the Housing Employees Safety Guidelines and has a working knowledge of the dorms Emergency Action Plan

  • Enforces housing policies and procedures including but not limited to: Alcohol and Drug Policy, Care of public areas such as the kitchen and bathrooms; Smoking Policy, Quiet hours, and Visitation Policy

  • Collects and distributes employees mail and packages

  • Processes residents in/out while collecting their information for housing files

  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.

  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.

  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.

  • Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.

  • Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
