Description

We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Controller to join our team. Based near Salinas, California, this role is pivotal in managing our accounting department, ensuring the development of a scalable infrastructure to support our dynamic growth across multiple locations. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, from accounts payable and receivable to fixed assets and grower accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting department, developing policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial results

• Manage timely month-end close and reporting, and conduct analysis of results

• Handle cash forecasting and budget development and tracking

• Carry out ad hoc reporting as necessary

• Oversee all payments made for debts, bank loans, and other investments

• Monitor cash and funding balances

• Manage relationships with key financial partners, including Customers, Vendors, and Joint Venture Partners

• Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports

• Maintain financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions

• Ability to handle Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Prior experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes
