Position Purpose

Facilities Director will provide administrative oversight of Facilities Management, Operations and Maintenance at Saint Francis Hospital and Mount Sinai Rehab Hospital. Implements standard work, integrates Facilities Management and oversees any projects as assigned.

What you will do

  • Direct and evaluate facility performance which includes maintenance, renovation, plant operations and the maintenance and repair of mechanical, heating, ventilation, water, refrigeration and biomedical equipment and systems

  • Identify and implement the use of appropriate metrics consistently across the System to measure quality outcomes that will allow the development of performance improvement activities to improve those designated quality outcomes

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements

  • Ensure the financial performance of the departments are within approved capital and operating budgets, including the development of annual budgets, monitoring and managing departmental revenues and expenses

  • Interview, hire, orient, and evaluate the performance of professional, supervisory and managerial personnel

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field

  • At least 5 years in a hospital setting in facilities management

  • AHA/ASHE Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred
