Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Houston, Texas. The role will be part of our dynamic team, working in a fast-paced industry. The position involves various responsibilities related to accounts payable, requiring adeptness in Excel and familiarity with Epicor software.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the accounts payable functions of the organization.

• Handle the processing and recording of invoices for payment.

• Effectively use Excel formulas to streamline AP processes and improve efficiency.

• Employ Epicor software for various AP tasks and reporting.

• Actively participate in the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met.

• Address and resolve inquiries related to accounts payable from both internal and external stakeholders.

• Maintain and update vendor information in the system.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements in the execution of all tasks.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function.

• Deliver ad-hoc duties as required by the management team. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Strong skills in Excel Formulas (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)

• Experience with the Epicor software

• Ability to handle high volume invoice processing

• Solid understanding of accounting principles related to accounts payable

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven problem-solving abilities

• Experience in reconciling accounts payable ledgers

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred

• Prior experience in an Accounts Payable role is highly desirable.
