Universal Health Services HIM/MEDICAL RECORDS CLERK in LIBERTY HILL, Texas

Responsibilities

The HIM/Medical Records Clerk is a key member of the Meridell Achievement Center (Meridell) treatment team who will analyze and file health information, process and document continuity of care and health information requests, send and receive records from an offsite storage facility, order and maintain forms and supplies, answer health information and front desk phone, and assist in other duties as assigned.

This opportunity is full-time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient Monday-Friday day shift schedule.

    Qualifications

    Requirements :

  • Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.

  • Experience: Clerical experience with filing preferred.

  • Skills: Organizational and time management skills needed to work independently and efficiently on a deadline. Ability to work with multiple distractions and incoming requests. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy. Proficiency with office equipment and computer systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to interact positively and confidently with residents and their families. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.

  • Essential physical requirements: Visual acuity, accurate hearing, extensive sitting, walking, standing, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
