Candidate Profile

It is expected that the person in this position will be ready for a larger role that may include relocation within the U.S. within as little as two years. This position requires an individual who will elicit personal trust and confidence from peers, reports, and existing and potential customers. Leadership, communication, and management skills rather than on technical capabilities. Strategic vision, creativity, results orientation, and flexibility are all imperative.

The Position

• Working directly for the Vice President of Financial Reporting, the Assistant Controller will be responsible to for coordinating, administering, and controlling financial operations. Provides tax, insurance and other reports required by governmental regulations. Review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. Directs all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts. Oversees the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements.
• Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Works independently in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups.
• Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
• Will be responsible for a team of salaried professionals.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance plus a minimum of 8 years direct industry experience role or an equivalent combination of education and experience, prefer an MBA.
