Your day to day:
Assist the consumer PR team in the planning and execution of PR campaigns by researching, brainstorming, and developing PR concepts to help promote News Corp Australia’s journalists and journalism across a range of news brands.
Monitor, track, and report on key coverage in partnership with Meltwater to measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
Be responsible for staying across changes in the media landscape and maintaining media lists and team resources.
Collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to assist in developing compelling social ideas and videos for content amplification.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders including editors, journalists, producers, content creators and influencers.
Assist in overseeing media attendance and logistics at events managed by News Corp Australia’s events team.
Draft relevant media materials for approval, and distribute as required Proactively reach out to media outlets, influencers, talent managers and journalists to secure coverage by pitching compelling story angles, press releases, and campaign launches to generate buzz and audience engagement to drive business growth
Who are you?
We're seeking a candidate who is deeply passionate about storytelling and capable of crafting imaginative and compelling PR concepts, with a keen eye for how to use social channels and broadcast media for organic content and campaign amplification.

Keen interest in news and current affairs
A positive and proactive attitude, thriving in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Initiative and drive with a willingness to learn and develop
Very strong attention to detail and highly organised
Flexibility to travel for work is required
University qualification in communications/journalism/public relations/marketing (preferred)
Experience within the media industry (preferred)
