University of Mississippi Assoc/Full Professor in Speech-Language Pathology in Oxford, Mississippi

This Position is for an Associate/Full Professor in Speech-Language Pathology with a public university work location in University, MS.

Position Description

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) in the School of Applied Sciences at The University of Mississippi invites applications for a 9-month Associate/Full Professor, tenure-eligible position to start in August 2024. Successful applicants will have expertise in Speech-Language Pathology in one of the following areas: feeding and swallowing, voice disorders, and/or medical speech-language pathology.  Applicants must have an earned doctoral degree, (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in communication sciences and disorders or closely related field, earned CCC-SLP, and eligibility for Mississippi state licensure. Additionally, applicants should have record, or demonstrated potential, of scholarly peer-reviewed publications, external funding to support research programs, and successful teaching. A strong record of quality research and teaching is required for tenure. The successful candidate may begin as early as August 2024.

The successful candidate will develop and sustain a line of research that contributes to scientific advancement in an area related to your expertise, actively pursue external funding for research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses (face-to-face, online, and/or blended), advise students and direct student research, and engage in departmental, college, university, and professional service. CSD currently offers Bachelor of Science and Master of Science programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders. The Master of Science program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned doctoral degree, (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in communication sciences and disorders or closely related field, earned CCC-SLP, and eligibility for Mississippi state licensure.
