Summary The Landscape Architect 1 develops high quality, imaginative and practical landscapes, urban designs, and design solutions for projects such as master plans, park plans, recreational facilities, roadways, parkways, hospitals, schools, land subdivisions, and commercial, industrial, and residential sites with limited oversight from other licensed Landscape Architects. The person in this position is expected to exercise a strong work ethic and an appetite to learn new concepts. They have excellent organizational and communication skills and are willing to mentor others with less experience. This person has the ability and desire to shift between detailed landscape design work and larger-scaled master planning work in a fast-paced professional environment. They are expected to work well with others, absorb and apply constructive criticism, and seek guidance from more experienced members of the team as necessary.
