Cleans assigned areas to include offices, meeting rooms, public areas, hallways, stairs, escalators, retail shops. Cleaning is defined to include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, hard floor maintenance, dusting, waxing, polishing office furniture and cleaning woodwork. Empty trash, polish brass and office furniture. Utilizes assigned equipment and fills out work order forms detailing equipment and any other problems and any other conditions requiring maintenance-turns in to supervisor or Unit Ast. Fills out and turns in a daily work report to supervisor. Cleans per directions of Custodian Foreman, Ast. Foreman, and Ast. Dir. of Building Operations. All other duties as assigned.

Must be available for call in or for emergency help when needed.

This position is heavy in manual labor and requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally. Involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reaching with hands and arms; the ability to move from one area to another and up and down stairs. Work may require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Use of proper ergonomics is required.
