General Maintenance Technician
Primary Location: Stillwater, Oklahoma
Employment Status: Full-Time
PRIMARY PURPOSE :
A Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for mechanical and/or electrical maintenance and project work on equipment associated with all aspects of the manufacture of vinyl sheet flooring.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions of the Job: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
Maintain, repair, and improve plant mechanical/electrical equipment.
Work with plant employees, outside vendors, contractors, and other resources to improve plant process and equipment.
Work with plant maintenance and technical staff to proactively improve utilization of resources.
Other duties as assigned.
Reports to Maintenance Supervisor/Manager
Works closely and partners with other Plant Maintenance Employees
Works closely and in cooperation with plant Engineers
Works closely and in cooperation with Maintenance Planning personnel
Implements systems compatible with requirements of ISO certification
Works closely and in cooperation with operating teams and focus areas
Work with Operations team/Maintenance Technicians/ Plant Resource Group
Helps coordinate work with outside vendors, suppliers, contractors, and equipment manufacturers
- Occasional travel for conferences, vendor meetings or similar activities may be required (<10%)
Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude (Electrical Theory, Motors, Controls, Conduit, Schematics)
Ability to learn and troubleshoot and program PLC’s
Mechanical knowledge preferred – to include hydraulics, pneumatics, hand tools, and lubrication
Continuous improvement focus
Ability to work in a semi-autonomous environment
Strong communication skills – verbal and oral
Electronic Communication skills: ability to effectively use information systems including personal computers, fax and telephones, and other office equipment
Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts
Allen Bradley PLC, Ladder Logic, Wonderware, and Control Logix experience
Demonstrated ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of statistical process control
Demonstrated leadership skills
Desire for career progression
An Associate’s degree or a minimum of 5 years of skill-related experience pre
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent organizational and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow established policies and procedures
Proficient computer skills including MS Office
Ability and willingness to work core hours to support the needs of our brokerage firms and plant locations

About the Location (Stillwater, OK)
Our Stillwater Plant employs approximately 150 people and operates 24 hours a day, up to 7 days a week. Production teams work a 12 hour rotating shift. The plant manufactures and ships vinyl sheet flooring products.
