Quad Industrial Electrician Apprentice in Sussex, Wisconsin

Quad is seeking Industrial Electrician Apprentices for our Sussex, Hartford, Pewaukee and Lomira, Wisconsin locations. The Industrial Electrician Apprenticeship is a minimum 4-year apprenticeship that combines on-the-job training with classroom instruction at an approved Technical College.

While working in the plant, the Electrician Apprentice will be responsible for assisting with the servicing and troubleshooting of production and support equipment. This position will include project support, preventive, and predictive maintenance.

Upon successful completion of the program, employees will receive a State of Wisconsin Certificate of Apprenticeship for Industrial Electrician.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent is required, as select candidates will be required to complete a standard admissions assessment at an approved Technical College.

  • Strong verbal and written comprehension.

  • The ability to thrive in a team environment and work well under supervision.

  • The ability to work responsibly in a variety of industrial environments, including at heights up to 50 feet.

  • Apprentices may be required to work at different Quad locations in order to complete program requirements. They will also be required to attend school, therefore, the ability to travel between to different Quad plants and the Technical College is essential.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude, strong math skills and basic computer skills, preferred.

  • Experience or exposure in advanced manufacturing environment or recent skilled trade-related classes, highly desirable.
