Grand Valley Manufacturing Co. Project Manager in Titusville, Pennsylvania

Grand Valley Manufacturing is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to come join our team. The Project Manager will act as a liaison between Grand Valley, customers, and vendors; managing the complete job process, including but not limited to receipt of order through manufacturing release, project shipment, post-shipment support, invoice management, and close-out of the project. 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with customers and vendors. 
  • Monitors adherence to the master plans and schedules, identifies project problems and coordinates with the appropriate team members to obtain and implement solutions. 
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors and peers, including but not limited to: status of all components, status of outside processing steps, and issues related to productivity, on-time delivery, schedule, etc.
  • Prepares project status reports, facilitate purchase orders (ensure orders are placed, follow-up on deliveries, and turn in POs with appropriate information for accounting), updates tracking reports, and maintains files for due diligence and financials.
  • Maintains daily, weekly, monthly inventory of supplies, WIP, finished goods, etc. as it relates to the project. 
  • Participates in project review sessions with plant leadership and customer to discuss cost, schedule, and performance. 
  • Coordinates with vendors for the status of outside processing steps (arrival, processing, and return). 
  • Participates in the development of new projects/opportunities relative to a particular customer, group of customers, or type of project. 
  • Participate in the NCR process; communicate with superiors as needed. 
  • Coordinate with internal team members to provide technical support to customers, assisting them in understanding Grand Valley processes and capabilities. 
  • Administrative Support to Sales and Operations as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a project management role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Preferred Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Project and Excel
  • Experience with manufacturing scheduling and procurement planning preferred 
  • Excellent blueprint reading and analyzing skills
  • Able to effectively communication (verbal and written) and work/relate with people at all levels of the organization
  • Detail oriented with an ability to organize and effectively manage multiple complex tasks and solve problems
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Able to conduct analyses and situational reporting to ensure contract execution.
  • Able to perform basic math, to include addition, subtraction, simple division, and multiplication.
  • Able to learn company specialized software.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time working on/at a computer.  The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, or crouch and talk or hear.   The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and infrequently lift/move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.   

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly enter manufacturing areas where they are exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles. The noise in these work environments is moderate to loud.
