Oracle Principal Product Manager, SaaS Engineering in Topeka, Kansas

Job Description

The SaaS Continuity Engineering team is responsible for the design and build of the systems and services that enables Oracle to deliver industry-leading availability and performance objectives for Oracle’s SaaS services. The team architects and develops high-availability and service continuity solutions across the entire stack – infrastructure, database, platform, and application services – and all the dependent components. The engineering innovations enable SaaS services to be available to customers without any disruptions even during large-scale incidents. We are building the next-gen service continuity solutions in a fast-pace and innovative environment and looking for a highly skilled product manager to join our Service Continuity team.

As a Principal Product Manager you will be driving the creation of services and features for our SaaS services to deliver the highest level of availability and resiliency. You will collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders including senior executives, architects, engineering teams, and external partners to take ideas, turn them into solutions, and deploy them to SaaS services across regions worldwide. The successful candidate will have a passion for solving difficult problems in a collaborative, agile work environment, a knack for creativity and innovative thinking, and a strong sense of empathy for both customers and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in product management, preferably in public cloud services or enterprise software

  • BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related technical field

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work optimally with multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Analytical skills, with a passion to solve sophisticated technology and business problems

  • Meticulous, structured and detailed, while also having the ability to see the big-picture

  • Proactive can-do approach, with a focus on results and deadlines

  • Excellent time management skills, especially in the context of multiple commitments

  • Excellent teamwork, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud services (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) in a public cloud environment (Examples: AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle)

  • 3+ years large scale project management and cross team collaboration

  • Shown experience of defining system requirements, product planning, and test script

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $87,600 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
