POSITION PROFILE

Connectria’s Product & Innovations Team is looking for a Cloud Automation Engineer to help us rapidly evolve both internal and external facing automation solutions to support the scaled deployment and growth of Connectria’s expanding product portfolio.

Why are we hiring?

As an AWS Premier Partner, Connectria’s Managed Services business is growing faster than ever. As we are rapidly expanding our customer base, Connectria is looking for an Automation Engineer to join our Innovations and Product Engineering team. This team is designed to scale existing and conceptualize new automation solutions and applications that deliver elegant solutions to operational, workflow, introspection, and auto-healing use-cases.

We are on the lookout for an experienced Automation Engineer with a real penchant for problem solving to join our team on a permanent basis. This position is a great opportunity for a driven professional keen to be part of an aggressive growth journey to provide best-in-class managed services and software products while progressing your career in a transformative role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You love to code! Code! You are passionate about building automations end-to-end and iteratively, from requirements gathering to ideation, design, development, monitoring and continuous improvement.

  • Automation and orchestration your jam? Interested in making computers “do the work”. Then you are ready to develop architected solutions from conceptualized architecture through scale-out in production.

  • You’ll help our teams automate tasks and manual work. This may involve integrating cloud deployment venues and services, deployments, tagging and automation tools, building Slackbots and automating permissions across our myriad toolsets.

  • You’ll build custom applications or scripts using third-party and/or build your own APIs.

  • You’ll write the code, build and manage internal apps, and as required deploy them in cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.).

  • You’re engaging -- you can translate business problems into technical requirements, and you care about the customer experience.

  • You write well - from chat to documentation to code that’s simple and maintainable.

  • You’ll create and/or build the necessary infrastructure to support the solutions.

  • You’ll work on projects over sprints, document your progress, and deliver a project from start to finish in rapid timeline, with multiple priorities and deadlines. You’ll juggle a few things at once and know how to prioritize.

  • You’ll work with your peers in the automation and customer-facing software development teams, help solve problems, mentor junior-level engineers and help the team if you can.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ functional experience in application development.

  • 2+ years’ proven experience in building scalable applications and solutions.

  • 3+ years’ experience as an application developer in Python.

  • Experience with a 2nd modern program language, such as Java and JavaScript.

  • Knowledge of Linux (ubuntu) commands/apps (i.e., curl, ssh, jq, tmux, etc.).

  • Experience with event-based architectures and associated tech-stacks including MongoDB and RabbitMQ.

  • Experience with APIs among major vendors/applications.

  • Experience with an Infrastructure-as-Code platform - Terraform, Kubernetes, etc.

  • Functional understanding and knowledge of Cloud platforms and a functional understanding of corresponding provisioning workflows.

  • Functional understanding of modern containerization platforms including Docker.

  • Familiarity with access controls and principles of least privilege.

  • Analytical mindset, creativity, and business-focused problem solver.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth and fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s a plus.

  • Ability to work within a remote team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization's success by leveraging your expertise in public cloud compliance. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative professional with a passion for customer services and cloud security, we encourage you to apply.
