Job Purpose

The Control Systems Engineer position is to support the site in their OT & Automation journey through technical capability to specify, install, maintain & safeguard Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and associated systems. Further, to collaborate with sites and regional teams to augment existing automation capabilities, capture future opportunities, and create road maps for automation projects that support the business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Functional OT / ICS Excellence:

  • Provide hands on expertise and technical guidance to the site on control system repairs, design changes, and projects based on troubleshooting or performance evaluation.
  • Develop, Update and Maintain site\'s digital map (network architecture) of the Industrial Control System (ICS), including but not limited to equipment locations, IP / MAC addresses, routes etc.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Digital Deployment teams and support the site to prepare the prerequisites (hardware / software) for digital initiatives. i.e. shutdown management, performance portal etc.
  • Work with automation integrators to define & design solutions, obtain project proposals, and determine final vendor selection.

Site Cyber Security:

As nominated Site Cyber Security Officer (SCSO)

  • Ensure that the OT cyber security standards and policies are implemented and report compliance
  • Execute periodical Cybersecurity Risk Assessments / Vulnerability Assessments of the systems
  • Communicate the site-specific cyber security requirements to suppliers and contractors
  • Attend and lead the ICS awareness training at site

Process Safety Management: SALUS

  • For the Industrial Control Systems ensure the following records are up to date
  • Safety Data Sheets
  • Safe Operating Limits (SOLs)
  • Control system logic diagrams, loops, and critical process interlocks

People / Relation Management:

  • Secures outsourcing to designated third party providers as needed and manages third party providers while on site
  • Liaison with Information Management (IM) and subcontractors in maintaining site industrial control systems.
  • Keep close coordination with Digital Architect & ISC Cybersecurity Officer for functional support and guidance.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Control or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Previous experience of factory digital transformation programs
  • Control system maintenance experience in a large, high volume manufacturing facility
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, network architecture, and data collection methodologies
  • Experience in programming/troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Experience with ABB, Allen-Bradley, etc.
  • Experience in different communication protocols (Pr fibus, Modbus, serial, ethernet, wireless etc.)
  • Database management (OPC, SQL etc.)
  • Field instrument experience

Rewards & Benefits

The salary range for these skills is: \$95,000.00 - \$105,000.00.This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
